The Why

It all begins with an idea. My first blog post ever. I am going to tell you a little about me and my “why”. I began staging over ten years ago. I was working as an elementary substitute teacher mostly at my kids’ school. I have a degree in Elementary Education. My mother-in-law had purchased a home staging franchise while I was substitute teaching and it sounded interesting to me. I began working with her, she taught me the rules of where to hang artwork and everything else I know. Below are some of the pictures from when I first began, no judging!

It’s amazing how much styles change! When I first began working with her, everything was Mediterranean or Coastal style with a lot of reds and oranges or blues and greens. I love that design trends change and we have to stay with the trends. It keeps us current with our homes that we do. I have worked on homes that were in the low price range and I have also worked on million dollar homes. The goal is always the same, more money with less time on the market! That is what we strive for when we work with homeowners and realtors. Below are current homes that have been staged by us.

So, back to my “why”. I love what I do. I love the designing, planning, moving and thought that goes into each property. I also love that this career is flexible, because having three children requires flexibility. They have all helped me with my staging, one way or another, and I hope that I show them that you can have a job you are passionate about.
